Our Process
From Plant to Jar
Every gram of Rosslyn Direct THCa rosin and flower goes through the same careful process. Clean inputs, cold water, slow pressing, patient curing, and transparent testing.
Step 1: Sourcing and Material
Good rosin starts long before the wash. We partner with growers who focus on clean indoor and greenhouse hemp. That means strong genetics, healthy plants, and real attention to how they are grown.
We look for
- Properly finished plants with full resin development
- Clean drying and curing
- No shortcuts on pests, mold, or mildew
Only material that passes our standards moves into the wash room. If the starting material is weak, no process can fix it.
Step 2: Wash and Separation
Once the material is ready, it heads into the wash. We use cold water, ice, and gentle agitation to separate the trichome heads from the plant material. The goal is to lift the resin, not beat up the flower. After each wash cycle, the water is drained through multiple micron bags that catch different grades of resin. These washes are what become our Select, Craft, Reserve, and sometimes Ultra Reserve tiers. No solvents. No shortcuts. Just water doing the work.
Step 3: Collection and Drying
The collected resin goes onto trays and is gently dried. This step matters as much as the wash. Too fast and you can damage the texture and flavor. Too slow and you risk quality. We take our time here so the hash is fully dry and ready for pressing. At this point you already see the color, clarity, and cleanliness that will carry through to the final jar.
Step 4: Pressing Into Rosin
Dry hash is placed into filter bags and pressed under controlled heat and pressure. The goal is to let the oil flow while protecting terpenes and minor compounds.Different grades of hash and different strains want slightly different press settings. This is where experience matters. We are always adjusting to get the cleanest, most expressive rosin we can from each batch.
Step 5: Curing and Texture
Fresh pressed rosin can be bright and loud. With the right cure, it becomes even better. Depending on the batch, we will cold cure, warm cure, or use a combination until the texture and flavor are dialed in.This is where you see batters, jams, and other textures come to life. Each jar is checked so you are not surprised when you crack the lid. The goal is a smooth, stable rosin that handles well on a tool and explodes with flavor when you dab it.
